TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.” John 16:22, NIV TODAY’S WORD: Your life is probably so fast paced that it seems to be swirling around you at times. In the midst of a hectic schedule, there are plenty of opportunities to lose your joy. But you don’t have to let any circumstance rob you of the joy that is rightfully yours in Christ. Once you decide to follow God and listen to Him, alone, nothing can take away that joy that is within you. And when your heart is set on joy, no one can wrestle it away from you unless you allow it. Your enemy is roaming around like a lion – waiting to devour, destroy and rob you of joy (1 Peter 5:8). But he can’t steal what Jesus has given to you in the first place. Today’s verse is a promise from Jesus, Himself – so hold on to the joy that He has put in your heart! PRAYER FOR TODAY: God, thank You for giving me unspeakable joy in my life. Help me today to hold on to what You have given me and not allow anyone or anything to take it away. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Bad Company, Blog, Self Respect, Self worth -

“It is better to be alone than in bad company.” A big part of who you become in life has to do with who you choose to surround yourself with.  Sometimes luck controls who walks into your life, but you decide who you let stay, who you pursue, and who you let walk back out. Ultimately, you should surround yourself with people who make you a better person and let go of those who don’t.  Here are some warning signs you’re in the presence of the latter.

Too often do people limit themselves by not being sure of their success. I know many great individuals with huge potential who just don’t try new things because they fear failure, who don’t feel comfortable in their own skin and as a result don’t approach new people or speak up. That’s an awful way to live life. Because — we’re all equally gifted and it’s all a matter of choice and initiative whether we’ll become the best version of ourselves or live an average life. But if you stop limiting yourself, big transformations will start happening in every area of your life right away. Here are the most important transformations you’ll experience once you stop limiting yourself: You’ll have bigger goals. People who always think they can’t succeed are scared to dream big. They don’t dare to set big goals and share them with others. And that’s why they never achieve anything better in life. But if you let go of the limitations you set to yourself, you’ll know you can reach anything you dream about. And so can everyone else. So define your deepest desires and ideal lifestyle today, believe you can get there. And write down the things you need to do, think of the person you need to become and the changes you’ll need to make to get closer to your goals.  You’ll improve your skills. As a result of believing in yourself and your abilities more, you’ll work on fighting your weaknesses and improving your strengths. You’ll gain knowledge and experience in new areas, may even master a skill after some time. That will change your perspective of life and you’ll aim even higher after that. You’ll overcome shyness. Social anxiety can be a result of the lack of self-esteem. But once you stop limiting yourself, there won’t be anything to stop you from communicating with people freely and confidently. A great way to start is by approaching one new person daily, no matter how uncomfortable or scary it may feel. Once you do that, you’ll see it’s nothing impossible. Even if it’s awkward the first few times, you’ll soon feel better around new people and will think of stuff to talk about more easily.   You’ll get things done. Limiting yourself also ruins your productivity. But once you let go of that, you’ll actually get to work more often and will be more focused (instead of procrastinating, thinking you’ll fail, or having doubts). The results will be great too and soon other people will start noticing it.   You’ll be present. Another way we usually limit ourselves is by living in the past and dreaming of the future, while ignoring the present. We constantly get back to what was before, compare it to what is now and have regrets. We also fear the future, try to predict what might happen or imagine the worst case scenario. But life happens here in the present moment. And once you realize that, you’ll be able to be more mindful of what’s currently happening. You’ll enjoy life more. Living in the present has another huge benefit – you truly experience every day, find happiness and contentment, and appreciate the things you have much more. You’ll generate ideas. Once you’re confident and free from limitations and mental barriers, you’ll also get your creative juices flowing. You’ll start coming up with new ideas, will handle daily problems more easily, and will start working on new projects all the time. You won’t get depressed. Depression is often a result of the stress and unhappiness we bring to ourselves by not following our path in life, not doing things we enjoy, not being social or expecting the best to happen. But when you stop limiting yourself you’ll always be doing something – either spending quality time with loved ones and new friends, being focused on your current activity and doing productive work, or working on your goals and dreams. So there won’t really be any time and reason to get depressed. You’ll take action more often. Another great benefit of not limiting yourself is that you’ll become action-oriented. Most people have too many doubts and insecurities, fear of failure and distractions get in the way too. But once you have peace of mind and the right amount of confidence, you’ll also take initiative, act upon your goals and turn ideas into reality. You’ll do many other little things like asking a question when you want to know something, not waiting for the perfect timing and conditions to do something, expressing your opinion and thus simplifying communication. And much more. It all starts with doing something right away instead of over thinking it. You’ll become a role model. One of the best ways to inspire others is to do something great with your life. And if you’re purpose-oriented, know what you want and are going after it, don’t waste time but work hard on what you believe in, and have fun at the same time and are grateful, then you’ll be a great role model. People will look up to you. You’ll motivate them to do the same without saying anything or making them do so, but simply by following your path and letting them see your progress. So that’s how the life of someone who’s not limiting himself looks like. And you can have the same very soon if you simply decide that you want more out of life and are ready to fight for it. So what can you do today to stop limiting yourself and start living the life you deserve? Love this article? Share it with your friends on Facebook

It’s true that a diet high in fat can lead to weightgain. But it takes more than just eating low-fat foods to lose weight. You must also watch how many calories you eat. Remember, your body stores extra calories as fat, even if they come from fat-free, trans fat-free, and low-fat foods. If you replace high-fat foods with high-calorie foods, like sweets, you’ll likely gain weight rather than lose weight. Tips for Cooking With Fats and Oils To lose weight, you need to burn more calories than you eat. You can do that by exercising more and by eating less fat and fewer calories. How Much Fat Should I Eat? Experts recommend that most adults get 20%-35% of their daily calories from fat. That’s about 44 to 77 grams of fat a day if you eat 2,000 calories a day. Read nutrition labels on food packages. Nutrition labels show the number of grams of fat per serving and calories per serving. Eat a variety of lower-fat foods to get all the nutrients  you need. Eat plenty of plant foods (such as whole-grain products, fruits, and vegetables) and a moderate amount of lean and low-fat, animal-based food (meat and dairy products) to help control your fat, cholesterol, carbs, and calories. When you’re shopping, choose lean meats, fish, and poultry. Limit these to 5-7 ounces per day. Good and Bad Fats Other good low-fat sources of protein include dried beans and peas, tofu, low-fat yogurt, low-fat or skim milk, low-fat cheese, and tuna packed in water. Choose foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids such as salmon, flaxseed, and walnuts for heart health. The Philippine Heart Association recommends eating fatty fish such as salmon twice weekly for the benefits of omega-3 fatty acids. 5 Tips for Low-Fat Cooking Trim all visible fat and remove the skin from poultry.Refrigerate soups, gravies, and stews, and remove the hardened fat on top before eating.Bake, broil, or grill meats on a rack that allows fat to drip from the meat. Don’t fry foods.Sprinkle lemon juice, herbs, and spices on cooked vegetables instead of using cheese, butter, or cream-based sauces.Try plain, nonfat or low-fat yogurt and chives on baked potatoes rather than sour cream. Reduced-fat sour cream still has fat, so limit the amount you use. When You’re Eating Out Choose simply prepared foods such as broiled, roasted, or baked fish or chicken. Avoid fried or sautéed foods, casseroles, and foods with heavy sauces or gravies. Tips for Cooking With Fats and Oils Ask that your food be cooked without added butter, margarine, gravy, or sauce. If you’re ordering salad, ask for low-fat dressing on the side. Select fruit, angel food cake, nonfat frozen yogurt, sherbet, or sorbet for dessert instead of ice cream, cake, or pie.

Lagi nyo ba itong naririnig sa mga tao o kaibigan – “Money is the root of all evil.” For the love of money is the root of all evil (Timothy 6:10).” Money is extremely important in the areas in which it works and extremely unimportant in the areas in which it doesnt. Marami ang napapahamak sa paggamit ng pera dahil they let money control their life. To be financially free and happy, kailangan natin na matutong magmanage ng pera and not the otherway around. Ayon kay T. Harv Eker ng The Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, like attracts like, money attracts money. Managing our money properly gives us confidence and it enhances our happiness, relationships and health. REMEMBER THAT ITS NOT IN THE AMOUNT OF MONEY THAT YOU HOLD THAT MATTERS, WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS YOU HABIT OF MANAGING YOUR MONEY PROPERLY.
